Erie Zoo seeking replacement for giraffe that died
ERIE — The Erie Zoo is trying to replace a male giraffe that died Sunday.
Zoo officials say the giraffe named TJ died Sunday, but that a necropsy hasn’t revealed a specific cause. Zoo officials say the giraffe had been experiencing health and diet issues in recent weeks.
Giraffes typically live about 20 years and TJ would have been 17 in June.
