Bonita H. Zaccari, 88, of Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County, died Tuesday at the Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning.

She was the wife of Ernest V. Zaccari, who she married Sept. 17, 1964, and who died June 16, 1981.

Born Feb. 15, 1923, in Burndale, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Elizabeth J. (Downs) Olcus.

She attended the former Kaylor School.

She loved her home and strived to make a nice home with her parents.

Her two pet poodles, Smokey and Jenni, were very dear to her. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her front porch, looking at the hills and wildlife surrounding her home.

Bonita had a strong Catholic faith and prayed often. She was kind and helpful to her family and will be sadly missed.

She trained as a welder to work on LST ships during World War II at American Bridge in Ambridge and worked at Owens-Illinois Glass, Clarion, retiring March 3, 1981, after 33 years. She was as member of the Quarter Century Club of Owens-Illinois.

Mrs. Zaccari was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend.

Surviving are four sisters, Margaret E. Nichol of Bradys Bend, Bessie M. Chemelli and her husband, Til, of Kittanning, Sara A. Young of East Brady, and Catherine Downing and her husband, Wilson, of Bradys Bend; and two brothers, John T. Olcus of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, and Robert J. Olcus and his wife, Donna, of Kittanning. Also surviving are seven nephews and a niece.

<B>ZACCARI </B>— Visitation for Bonita H. Zaccari, who died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, is private. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Church, Bradys Bend, with the Rev. Ron Cyktor, church pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Bradys Bend.Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Church, 915 State Route 68, East Brady, PA 16028.Arrangements are under the direction of the <B>Buechele Funeral Home</B>, East Brady.
