Joy Ferrari Rice
Joy Ferrari Rice, 61, of Main Street, Volant, formerly of Butler died at Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle, at 3:39 a.m. Wednesday. She was 61.
Joy was born in Butler, the daughter of the late George and Alice Greggery Ferrari
She was a wonderful homemaker and a great decorator, cook and baker.
She loved to take long walks and to sit by a fire.
She spent time in prayer. Joy was an evangelical Christian.
She and her husband formerly owned the Neshannock Creek Outerwear in Volant.
Joy is survived by her husband, Charles “Dizzy” Rice at home; and one son, Eric Rice and his wife, Kimberly of Paris, Pa.
<B>RICE</B> — Visitation for Joy Ferrari Rice, who died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, will be today at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, from 6 until 8 p.m. and Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with interment at Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington. The Rev. Ron Eade of the Church of Genesis will officiate.
