CLINTON TWP — A small school bus crashed on Saxonburg Boulevard, entrapping the driver. There were no children on the bus, according to the first rescuers on the scene.

The crash happened about 11:30 a.m. near 657 Saxonburg Blvd., which is near the intersection with Victory Road.

The bus reportedly belonged to Shriver’s Bus Co. of Cowansville, Armstrong County.

The driver reportedly suffered several broken bones and was taken to the parking lot in the nearby Victory Road Business Park, from where he was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital.

The accident forced police to close Saxonburg Boulevard to one lane for a while.
