Eleanor F. Kummer Dodds, 96, of Valencia passed away Saturday morning at Cranberry Place.

Born Sept. 12, 1914, in Evans City, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Hardt Kummer.

She was a former member of the Crestview Community Church of Callery and attended the Bakerstown Presbyterian Church. She was a past matron of Jephthah Chapter 73 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She had retired from the Shaler School District, where she taught kindergarten and first grade for 29 years.

She spent her summers at Lake Erie and Madison, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence H. Dodds, who died in 1984; six sisters; three brothers, and a granddaughter.

Surviving are two sons, L. James Dodds of Valencia and Richard (Sally) Dodds of New Castle, Del.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
