Mae Ella (Thomas) Scheerbaum, 82, of Richland Township died Thursday.

She was born Dec. 4, 1928, to the late Arthur and Olive (Miller) Thomas.

Mrs. Scheerbaum was a nannie for many families, and she worked in the cafeteria in the Fox Chapel School District.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking.

She is survived by her two sons, James (Vicki) Alvin Scheerbaum of McCandless Township and Don (Stephanie) T. Scheerbaum of Pittsburgh; one granddaughter, Dana Lynn (Marwan) Maalouf of Maryland; two grandsons, Shaun Scheerbaum of Cranberry Township and Chad Scheerbaum of McCandless Township; a brother, Bud Thomas of Dorseyville; and a sister, Kitty Thomas of Wexford, formerly of Dorseyville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin James Scheerbaum, who passed away Aug. 26, 2002; and two sisters, Nora Anderson and Margie Baumgartel.

<B>SCHEERBAUM</B> — Visitation for Mae Ella (Thomas) Scheerbaum, who died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the <B>Herbert R.
