Grace Marie Rhodes, 98, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Friday at her home at the Reformed Presbyterian Home, Perrysville Avenue, Pittsburgh. She formerly lived on South Main Street in Slippery Rock.

She was born in Slippery Rock Township, June 10, 1912, to Henry Clyde Rhodes and Sara Elizabeth McKnight Rhodes.

She retired from Slippery Rock University, where she worked as a dining room supervisor for 35 years.

She was a member of the Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church.

She loved the Lord, her family and her many friends at the Reformed Presbyterian Home. She looked forward to being with her Lord for eternity.

Survivors include two nieces, Barbara (Tom) Troxel of Dunnellon, Fla., and Roberta Lynn (John) Manley, of West Chester, Pa.; and two nephews, the Rev. Stephen C. (Margaret) Rhodes of Aurora, Ill., and Richard L. (Vicki) Rhodes of Mogadore, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Gursky; two brothers, Raymond and William Rhodes; and a niece, Sandra Calder.

<B>RHODES </B>— Family and friends of Grace Marie Rhodes, who died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, will be received at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen C. Rhodes, her nephew and pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Aurora, Ill., and the Rev. Charles Brown, pastor of the Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church, presiding. Interment will follow in Slippery Rock Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to the Reformed Presbyterian Church.
