Noel E. Madl, 55, of North Sewickley Township, Beaver County, formerly of Mars, died Thursday morning at UPMC Passavant hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Pittsburgh, Dec. 24, 1955, she was the daughter of Russell and Betty Gossett Urben Sr. of Mount Jackson, Lawrence County.

Noel was a member and deaconess of the Mars Alliance Church and was a Marriage Encounter Support Team leader at the church. She also volunteered for the Heartland Hospice Support Team.

She was a certified pharmacy technician and had worked at the Evans City Pharmacy.

In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, John W. “Jack” Madl Jr., who she married Jan. 31, 1975; a son, John R. “J.R.” Madl and his wife, Kim, of Greentree; a grandson, John Walter Madl; a sister, Cathy Wyman and her husband, Mark, of Economy; and three brothers, Russell G. Urben Jr. of Prospect, John Edward Urben and his wife, Ingrid, of Grove City and Jeffrey Scott Urben of Beaver. Also many nieces and nephews survive.

<B>MADL</B> — Friends of Noel E. Madl, who died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, will be received at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be in the Mars Alliance Church, Route 228, Mars, at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Jeff Lawther officiating. Please meet at the church.
