AMANDA SHEPPECK (Knoch), a sophomore on the Grove City College softball team, was named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week. She hit .360 in eight games in Florida, including a home run and three doubles, and scored a team-high seven runs.•
SCOTT YANAK (Grove City College) was named PAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. He picked up two victories in the team’s season-opening win over Penn State-Behrend. He teamed with junior Steve Harrison for a doubles victory, then rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 decision in singles.•
MONICA GLOMB (Mars), a senior pitcher for the No. 21 Kutztown University softball team, recently struck out five in a 5-0, complete-game victory over No. 16 Tampa in Clermont, Fla. Glomb has a 7-1 record with a 1.93 ERA for the 13-2 Golden Bears.
