Traffic and drivers
I thought maybe everyone was getting tired of all the political hoopla that we can't do anything about (nee gas prices, etc.) so thought I'd go off on my once a month tangent about drivers.
Over the weekend I viewed more people (and of course with the weather being wet, this could've created catastrophies) driving without their lights on, going through (not even stopping) at the stop signs, holding up traffic at the intersections on main street among other things. And where were our finest? Afraid of getting a little wet maybe?
And then you have those on the cells either talking or texting. Oh Lord I wish it WERE a distinct law that you could not use your cell while driving in anyway shape or form. PLEASE pull over if you need to talk or text. What is that important that it can't wait - example - 'what are you doing?' 'I don't know, what are you doing?' and goofy things like this are causing accidents. If it's an emergency PULLLLLLLL OOOOOVER PLLLLEASE!
I hope our finest grow some and get out there and start writing tickets. This could also help our economy in the city - eh?
Oh and by the way, I have now seen the little lady meter maid TWICE at the Butler Post Office on her cell phone conducting personal business (and it didn't appear an emergency). Our tax dollars at work don't ya know.
