It’s been a month since you left this place called Earth

And today also marks 26 years from your birth.

The sound of your laughter and the thought of your smile makes me want to break down and cry.

And I still need to pinch and ask God “why”?

Then it occurs to me, deep from within God needed his lost angel to walk through his door

But that does not mean we are not together anymore.

Rather than sit here and mourn for you

I look up at Heaven and know it’s true

That someday I’ll be able to be with you and say Happy Birthday Bub!
