Wright

Dale Warren Wright, 85, of Cabot of passed away Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born July 21, 1925, in Tarentum, he was the son of Lee O. Wright and Veda Pugh Wright.

He attended Tarentum High School, where he was valedictorian of the Class of 1942.

He then served in the U.S. Army in the Asiatic-Pacific theater and received a Bronze Star.

Upon returning from the service, he enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his degree in accounting. In 1951, he received a master's in letters from the University of Pittsburgh.

He was employed by the Gulf Oil Co. and Chevron as an accountant until his retirement in 1986.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by a number of cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother, Kenneth Wright, and a sister Ruth Wright.

<B>WRIGHT</B> — A memorial service for Dale Warren Wright, who died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg, with the Rev. David West officiating.
