Despite game-high totals of 22 points and 13 rebounds, the Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team dropped a 62-59 decision at Gannon Wednesday.

The Golden Knights (14-11, 5-8) scored seven of the final nine points to pull out the PSAC West victory.

SRU led in rebounds, 39-38, but committed more turnovers (10-8).

Gannon connected on 19 of 25 shots from the free-throw line; SRU 5 of 7.

Aubin Reeves had 12 points for The Rock (18-9, 8-5).

Brown will be among seven SRU seniors who will be honored before Saturday’s game against Edinboro.

Women

Gannon 84, SRU 60 — Senior Grace Palucis scored a career-high 22 points for The Rock (3-22, 1-12), including four 3-pointers.Marlynda Harland had 11 points and Danielle Smith nine.Gannon (12-13, 4-9) had a 39-24 edge in rebounding and had only 13 turnovers to SRU’s 23.Palucis is the team’s lone senior and will be honored before Saturday’s finale against Edinboro at Morrow Field House.
