Zelienople — The Strand Theater will broadcast “The Big Game” Sunday on its 25-foot screen with HD digital projector and 45-speaker surround sound.

Additionally, the nonprofit theater group this weekend will screen the film adaptation of the award-winning, one-man play, “The Chief,” about former Steelers owner Art Rooney.

Screen times for “The Chief” are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission for the movie is $5, but those age 60 and older pay $4.

Admission is $5 per person to attend the game showing. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the game at 6:30 p.m.

The movie “Night at the Museum,” which was to be shown this weekend, has been rescheduled to Feb 18 to 20. “The Cannonball Run,” originally scheduled for that weekend, will be rescheduled to another date.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Shari Maurer, author of “Change of Heart,” will be at the Slippery Rock Borough Building at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 for the monthly meeting of the Slippery Rock Community Library Friends.Maurer will start the meeting as the guest speaker, with a short business meeting to follow. She plans to give a short overview of her book and then take questions.“Change of Heart” is about a 16-year-old girl who develops congestive heart failure and ultimately receives a heart transplant. This young adult novel deals with all the issues that would concern a transplant patient plus it looks at the different ways a heart can be broken and repaired, with the ups and downs of love and life.
