PITTSBURGH — “What You Will: About Twelfth Night,” a reading by Poets Corner, will take place at 1:30 p.m. Sunday following the annual Fête des Rois celebration at Calvary Methodist Church, 971 Beech Avenue on Pittsburgh's Northside.A new adaptation of Shakespeare's comedy of love and mistaken identity follows Fete de Rois (Day of Three Kings).The 75-minute reading by seven actors and a narrator will provide audiences with a taste of the Bard's comedy as well as the chance to try French pastries before the reading and English treats after in the Victorian chapel.Admission is free with donations accepted to support future Poets Corners events. PITTSBURGH — Throughout the month of January, The ToonSeum will present a series of film screenings celebrating the birthday of filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, who turned 70 on Wednesday.Often called the “Walt Disney of Japan,” Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli reinvigorated the Japanese animation industry in the 1980s and '90s with a string of international hits.The following films will be screened with discussion and production notes:• “Castle in the Sky,” 7 p.m. Jan. 13. After a daring escape from sky pirates, a young girl teams up with an orphaned miner to uncover the secrets of a magical city floating in the clouds.• “My Neighbor Totoro,” 3 p.m. Jan. 22. Miyazaki's pastoral piece is a story of two young girls coping with their mother's illness and resultant move to rural Japan.• “Princess Mononoke,” 7 p.m. Jan. 27. The boldest and darkest of Miyazaki's films, “Mononoke” is a complex Buddhist parable in which spiritual forces do battle with ragged human imperialists.Films are all family-friendly, but “Princess Mononoke” contains adult themes and war-related violence.Admission for the screenings is by donation.
