Two armed robbers wanted money from a Butler convenience store early this morning.

All they got away with, police said, were five packs of cigarettes.

However, before leaving the A-Plus on West Jefferson Street, one of the robbers forced a clerk at gunpoint into a back room and onto the floor. The clerk, a middle-age Butler man, was not hurt.

“We have no suspects but we’re following some leads,” said Detective Sgt. Dave Dalcamo.

The suspects are white males believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. They are between 5 feet, 7 inches and 6 feet tall.

One of the suspects is two or three inches taller than the other.

Both wore hooded sweat shirts and blue jean-type pants.
