NEW CASTLE, — Police suspect an elderly man may have been accidentally shot and killed in a hunting accident. New Castle police say a hunter found the body of 71-year-old Leroy Blashak in a wooded area in Lawrence County on Tuesday afternoon. Investigators say Blashak may have been shot Monday, the first day of deer season.

Police Chief Tom Sansone said that Blashak may have been shot by a hunter.
