Samuel Schoeffel
In memory of Samuel Schoeffel, our dad and pap, March 6, 1956 - November 20, 2005.
I went through all our old photographs, memories made over the years
Pictures worth a million words that bring my soul to tears
I study each one carefully, replaying the memories in my mind
Looking for clues of what the future would hold and the heartache it would leave behind
Smiling children, visiting new places, a canoe trip and a boat ride in the park
How could we have known that day how quickly our lives would turn dark
There are no words to tell you, just what I’m feeling inside
The hurt and anger, things will never again be the same
And though I’m hurting quite bad, I smile when I hear your name
So many hearts broken, the day God called you home
It seems as if each one of us, were left to survive on our own
We love and miss you everyday...
