And liberals have total amnesia when it comes to anything derogatory about their views. President Clinton did not balance the budget - the Republican controlled Congress did that. And if I remember correctly, up until 9/11 we had a balanced budget but war tends to "unbalance" a budget rather rapidly. President Bush should be castigated for increasing the size of the government during his term in office but liberals should also be castigated for going even further.
