CORAOPOLIS — The Moon School District is preparing for a teachers' strike unless last-minute negotiations over the weekend result in a new contract.

Superintendent Donna Milanovich posted a letter on the district's site saying the strike will begin Monday unless a bargaining session on Saturday bears fruit.

The teachers' last contract expired in June.

The district is making plans to keep seniors in class during the strike so their graduation won't be delayed. Athletics programs and buses for students who don't attend public schools will go on normally.
