HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania House of Representatives won’t be holding any more votes this year.

House Speaker Keith McCall said today the chamber will not have a lame-duck session as had been planned this month.

A memo from McCall says all House members should be on the floor Nov. 15 for McCall’s end-of-session remarks.

Senate leaders have long said they wouldn’t be holding votes after the election. McCall’s announcement means the death of several pieces of legislation, including a public-sector pension bill.

McCall and Democratic Leader Todd Eachus are leaving office at the end of November.

McCall is retiring, and Eachus lost re-election.
