Leslie H. Hilgert

Leslie H. (Heckert) Hilgert, 84, of Bakerstown died Tuesday while under the care of St. John LAS Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Pittsburgh, April 14, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Carl W. and Hazel A. (Trimble) Heckert.

Leslie was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, where she was married July 11, 1949, and taught Sunday school for many years.

She was active with the Order of Eastern Star 346 Northwood Herrington and was a Girl Scout leader.

She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Hilgert, who died April 18, 1997. She also was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

She was the loving mother of Bunny Bowman of Valencia, Nancy Tracey of Palm City, Fla., and James W. Hilgert of Austin, Texas.

<B>HILGERT </B>— The family of Leslie H. (Heckert) Hilgert, who died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, will welcome friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Services will be in the funeral home Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Terry Stoops and the Rev.
