James Dorwood Dunmire Jr., 64, of Blairsville, Indiana County, passed away Sept. 20 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

A son of James D. Dunmire Sr. and Ethel I. (Spires) Dunmire, he was born Jan. 27, 1946, in Indiana, Pa.

Mr. Dunmire graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1965 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He worked for Continental Steel Fabricators, Fombell.

He is survived by his wife, Carol J. (Cunningham) Dunmire, who he married Sept. 26, 1975; a son, Brian Dunmire and his wife, Megan, of Blairsville; a daughter, Michelle Hebenthal and her husband, Denny, of Blairsville; four grandchildren, Brian, Travis, Kelsey and Brandi; and a brother, Don Dunmire and his wife, Viola, of Naples, Fla.

<B>DUNMIRE</B> — A memorial service for James Dorwood Dunmire Jr., who died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, was held Sept. 23 at the Free Methodist Church, Blairsville.
