James E. Sweigard, 58, of Nashville, Tenn., passed away Thursday after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Sweigard graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Pa., in 1970 and from Grove City College in 1974 before moving to Nashville, where he was employed by several large companies, including Bridgestone.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Ryan Sweigard.

He is survived by his wife, Araceli Estrada Gonzalez; three sons, Joshua Daniel Sweigard, Christopher James Sweigard and Michael Ray Sweigard; his father, James R. Sweigard; a sister, Vivian (Ken) Gregg; a niece; Megan Lynne Lewis; a nephew, Brody Lee Gregg; and a faithful family friend; Phyllis Sweigard.
