Gladys M. Nelson Williamson Andres, 84, of Butler, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday in the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

She worked for J.C. Penney's for 13 years and then at PARC as a supervisor for 20 years.

She was a member of the North Main Street Church of God, where she also taught Sunday school. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

She generously gave to many, often anonymously, and was loved for her great sense of humor. Her family was her life.

She will be missed by her husband, John Andres; her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Dennis Slamon, Kay and Matt Warheit and Jymie and Ike Kelly; and her stepfamily, Ken and Lynn Andres and Rosemarie Hancock. She will also be missed by her sister, Marian Tritsch and brother, Jimmy Nelson, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was grandma and great-grandma to 12 children who dearly loved her.

<B>ANDRES </B>— Friends of Gladys M. Nelson Williamson Andres, who died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Brown, of North Main Street Church of God, officiating. Interment will follow in the Saxonburg Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Revlon-UCLA Woman's Cancer Research Program, 8-950 Factor Building, Charles Young Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90095; or to Penn Christian Academy, 199 W.
