Emma K. Hartle
Emma K. Hartle, 79, of Butler passed away at 4:35 a.m. Saturday at the Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 6, 1931, in Butler, the daughter of the late Robert Gardner and the late Loretta (Angert) Gardner.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and looked forward to the Hartle family reunion every year.
She also enjoyed playing cards, bowling and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.
She was a lifetime member of the Oneida Valley Ladies Auxiliary.
She had formerly worked at Saxonburg Ceramics and at John D. Clark Trucking.
Surviving are three sons, William D. and his wife, Shari Hartle, Jack H. Hartle, David G. and his wife, Sheila Hartle, all of Butler; a daughter, Cathy A. and her husband, Bruce Clark, of Butler; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary and her husband, Ewing Watt, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry "Duck" Hartle, whom she married Aug. 12, 1950, and who died on Sept. 30, 2000; a son; four sisters; and seven brothers
<B>HARTLE — </B>Friends of Emma K. Hartle, who died Saturday, Sept, 18, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>YOUNG FUNERAL HOME</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
