Montag

Allene M. Montag, 84, of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, formerly of Saxonburg, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia.

Born May 5, 1926, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. Montag and Alma F. Bruner Montag.

Miss Montag was a lifelong member of Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder, deaconess and organist.

She was a registered nurse for Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1992.

Miss Montag graduated from Presbyterian University School of Nursing in 1947 and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland in 1953.

Miss Montag is survived by a number of cousins.

<B>MONTAG</B> — Friends of Allene M. Montag, who died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Toby Brown, of Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Don Graff, of Latrobe United Presbyterian Church, officiating.
