Charles Boyd Lewis Sr., 68, of Prospect passed away Thursday.

He was born on July 1, 1942, in Kittanning and was the son of the late Gerald and Mary Householder Lewis.

Chuck served six years in the U.S. National Guard.

He retired, after working 34 years, as an accountant at USX. While living in Pittsburgh, he and his wife were foster parents. After retirement, they moved to the Prospect area where he worked for the Raisley Funeral Home and Butler County Ford. They also volunteered for the Butler Meals on Wheels and then the Prospect Route of the Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels program. He had a funny wit and loved people.

He was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed making furniture for his wife and children. His favorite pastimes included his golf and bowling leagues. He enjoyed keeping in touch with family, friends and high school classmates.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Kay Ortmann Lewis; his son, Charles Boyd Lewis Jr. and his wife Julie Stoker Lewis of Plymouth, Mich.; his daughter Kyra Rall and her husband Chris Rall of Portersville; and his two very special grandsons Kenneth Lewis Rall and Keven Charles Rall; his brother James (Peg) Lewis of Murrysville; and his cousin Tom (Linda) Lewis of Butler.

<B>LEWIS — </B>The family requests your understanding of the decision not to have a viewing or funeral for Charles Boyd Lewis Sr., who died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010. All are welcome to a memorial service being held at their home at 3 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Ed Sheehan of Christ's Lutheran Church of Murrysville will be officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for pictures and notes of good memories to be sent. Memorial contributions in memory of Chuck Lewis may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.Cremation services were provided by the <B>Edward L.
