Rose Sekuta Bilott

Rose Sekuta Bilott, 76, formerly of Irwin, Westmoreland County, died Tuesday at Redstone Highland of Greensburg, where she lived the past year.

Born in Forest City, Susquehanna County, Aug. 30, 1934, she was the eldest child of the late Louis and Rose (Kobilsek) Sekuta.

A loving wife and mother, Rose took great pride in her children and family.

An avid lover of gardening, she always enjoyed tending after her flower gardens and plants.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Bilott. They were married April 7, 1953, in Irwin. She also is survived by her four children, Anthony (Anne) of Butler, Tina (Mark) Oesterlin of North Huntingdon, James (Jennifer) of Greensburg and John of Baltimore. She so loved her three grandchildren, Jesse Lopata of El Paso, Texas, Anne Marie of Butler, and Wyatt of Baltimore, Md. In addition, she is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and close dear friends.

One of her friends commented on her passing, "It was easy to love Rosie because she loved everyone."

<B>BILOTT</B> — Friends of Rose Sekuta Bilott, who died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Joseph F. Ott Funeral Home</B>, 504 Oak St., Irwin. Parting prayers will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will follow at the Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
