Every person or business pays taxes. Why are oil companies exempt? Because you have been brainwashed by the Bush administration. Pray tell me why a natural gas drilling company should not have to pay taxes, but the trucking company who will haul that gas has to. So does the manufacturer of the heavy equipment used, the hard hats, the safety glasses, the boot manufacturer, the steel maker who makes the steel that they use to line the well. They all have to! I could go on an on.. Why is the gas company ALONE exempt? Every other company involved in the drilling has to pay - or maybe you think nobody should pay? Maybe my company shouldn't pay because we write software they use to keep their books, or the company beside me who makes the transmitters that they use, or the one beside them that makes sandwiches that they eat at lunch? Because the drilling companies have lined Tom Corbett's pockets with money, that's why! Get your head out of the sand..
