SLIPPERY ROCK — LUNAFEST, the festival of short films by, for and about women, takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Advanced Technology and Science Hall at Slippery Rock University.The fundraising film festival is dedicated to promoting awareness of women's issues, highlighting women filmmakers and bringing women together in their communities.The 10 films that will be shown are: "The Translator," "Getting a Grip," "Touch," "Tightly Knit," "Top Spin," "Thembi's Diary," "Mother of Many," "Irene," "Miracle Lady" and "Love on the Line."The event is hosted by the SRU Women's Studies Program and the College of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts.
