Hang in there, Sandy. I used to work at ServiStar and lost my job when we were sold out. Our CEO got a million dollars and we all lost our jobs. I, like you, had no more than a high school education. It took me 7 years to go to a trade school, then to BCCC to get an Associates Degree and finally got a Bachelors Degree, all while working full time to pay the bills. It is no easy task and I know what you are going through.

If you read my other posts in this forum, you will know that I am a proud Democrat. The Republicans want to keep the rich people rich and let the crumbs trickle down to everyone else. Pat Toomey cares only about corporations and has proven that by supporting tax credits to corps that send jobs overseas. That type of thinking makes no sense to a working person. The corporation makes big bucks, and that's what he cares about. Admiral Sestak has spent his life trying to make THIS country a better place, not China.

When I was laid off, there was no universal healthcare law. COBRA benefits for me 10 years ago cost over $1,000 a month. Needless to say, nobody who's laid off could afford that. Now, because of our new healthcare law, you can get it for $400/month. Still no spit in the bucket, but better than what I was able to get. Kathy Dahlkemper supported the healthcare law. I applaud her courage and will be voting for both Sestak and Dahlkemper.

I still haven't decided between Corbett and Onorato. Corbett doesn't want to tax Marcelles Shale, though, so I'm now leaning toward Onorato on that one issue, but I haven't decided yet.
