Butler County's great daily newspaper

unemployment and voting

hollyhartzell292@hotmail.com

I don't know who the best choices are for the polls (are any of them)??? All I know is that I am mid 50's, doing a p/t job for min. wage, collecting what's left of my unemployment and going to school full time to hopefully obtain knowledge enough to get a job to last me until retirement age.

Kids - if you are listening and reading - get an education now - don't wait and don't limit yourself to one subject. Obtain an education in a few things - have a double major that will work together and separately should you lose a job. I never in a million years believed I'd be back in school at my age to try to obtain enough info and knowledge to get a DECENT job. This working p/t for min. wage sucks! Thank God I still have some UE or I couldn't live. I still don't have much as far as $$, but I have the essentials so I'm not crying poor mouth. I am very fortunate. However, I know longer have health insurance and make too much between the job and UE to have health insurance or be able to go to the clinic in E. Butler. I could get insurance, but it'd cost me about $400 a month and have a high deductible - any suggestions out there? I am glad I have been healthy for the last year. I just hope nothing catastrophic comes up! God Bless all!
