Bernice Margaret Gross
Bernice Margaret Gross, 84, of Ontario, Ohio, formerly of Country Club Road in Butler, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at her daughter's home where she had resided for the last nine years.
Born in Pittsburgh, on June 6, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Benedict Wilhem Miller and Margaret Ruth Heckler Miller.
She was a graduate of Crafton High School. Mrs. Gross was a homemaker and a member of Nixon United Methodist Church. When living in Butler, she was very active in the activities at the church.
Mrs. Gross was married to Jacob C. Gross on Sept. 1, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1989.
Bernice is survived by a daughter, Debra Cornell and her husband Terry of Ontario, Ohio; a grandson, Cory Grist also of Ontario; a sister, Bernice Matthews of London, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald M. Miller and a sister, Louise Hughes.
<B>GROSS — </B>Friends and family of Bernice Gross, who died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME INC., </B>124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, from the Nixon United Methodist Church 334 Airport Road, Penn Township, with the Rev. Bruce Merritt pastor, and the Rev. Henry B.
