The state Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that three bridges in Penn, Muddy Creek and Worth townships have reopened.

The 53-year-old McBride Bridge on Route 8 between Old Plank Road and Renfrew Road was closed in April for a $1.8 million replacement by Mekis Construction of Fenelton.

It reopened to restricted traffic in September while new traffic lines were painted and median work was completed.

The four-lane bridge is now open to all traffic in both directions.

On West Park Road, a pair of bridges crossing Route 422 and Muddy Creek also reopened.

Those bridges are in Muddy Creek and Worth Townships near the Moraine State Park North Shore entrance.

Both bridges had been closed since early March, when Mingo Creek Construction of Eighty Four began its $2.41 million replacement of the decks on each bridge.
