NEW YORK — Major League Baseball's average attendance dropped for the third straight season, falling 1 percent this year.

The 30 teams combined to draw 73.06 million fans, an average of 30,067, STATS LLC said after Sunday's regular-season finales.

Last year, in the midst of a global economic downturn, the teams drew 74.42 million.

Knoch graduates Corey Branchen and Ethan Danner carded scores of 168 and 171 at the WPCC Tournament this past weekend to help the Pioneers earn second place in the nine-team tournament.Branchen, who finished sixth overall, shot an 84 on both days while Danner, who placed 10th, fired an 85 and 86. the top 10 placewinners earn all-tournament honors.Potomac State (W.Va.) was the overall winner with 639 points while the Pioneers had 692 points.Antonio Baroffio (Butler) shot 175 (85-90) and Derek Hathazy (Seneca Valley) a 178 (85-93) as all four golfers qualified for the PCAA Championship, which will be held Oct. 11-12 at Penn National in Chambersburg.
