Florence C. Brown, 99, of West Sunbury passed away at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Grove Manor following a short illness.

She was born July 5, 1911, in Center Township. She was the daughter of the late Martin John Brown and Nancy Belle Mahood Brown.

She worked in Pittsburgh all her life.

She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Fine of West Sunbury; one niece, Karen Brown; three nephews, Robert (Shirley) Fine, Tom Brown and Perry Brown; and one great-niece, Christine (Jeff) Barnes. One great-great-niece and one great-great-nephew also survive.

She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

<B>BROWN</B> — Friends of Florence C. Brown, who died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will follow at noon with the Rev. Boyd Smith, of West Unity Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
