NEW CASTLE — The New Castle Music Club Chorus will give its 70th presentation of Handel's "Messiah" at 3 p.m. Nov. 28 at First Christian Church, 21 W. Washington St. The program will be directed by Butler resident Harry Cunningham.

Those wishing to participate may attend rehearsals from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays at the First Presbyterian Church, corner of North Jefferson and Falls streets. Singers may enter through either the front or rear doors of the fellowship hall.

The first rehearsal will be from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Monday followed by social time from 8:15 to 9 p.m.

Participants may take their own copy of the oratorio or purchase one at the church for $7.25.

Auditions for "A Christmas Story" will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ford City Public Library, 1136 4th Ave.

The Ford City Library Players production will be staged Dec. 2, 3 and 4 at Ford City High School.
