Moraine offers biking, hiking and kayaking

Fall features many activities at Moraine State Park, some of which are this weekend and all of which are free.

• Sunset kayak tour, 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Join the park naturalist at the Bear Run boat launch on the South Shore for an intermediate paced paddle on Lake Arthur. Take your own kayak or borrow one of the park's kayaks.

• Fall foliage disc golf hike, 1 p.m. Sunday.

Anyone wishing to learn about disc golf can meet park staff at the course on the North Shore at the Lakeview Beach area.

• Autumn bike tour, 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 9.

Meet the park naturalist at Lakeview Beach on the North Shore for a guided bike tour of a section of the bike trail that many visitors do not explore.

• Kayaking in color, 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 and 16.

Meet the park naturalist at the Old 422 launch area off Old Route 422/Park Road, to kayak among the scenery during this relaxed paddle. Participants may take their own kayak, or borrow one of Moraine's.

• Beauty of fall hike, 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 17.

Meet the park naturalist at the park office on the South Shore for a moderate, 3-mile hike.

• Wildlife night hike, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 23.

Join the park naturalist for a 1.5 mile hike over moderate terrain to experience the park at night. Meet at the park office on the South Shore.

• Fall foliage paddle, 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 24.

Meet the park naturalist at the Bear Run launch on the South Shore for this intermediate paddle. Participants may take their own kayak or borrow one of Moraine's.
