Edith Mae "Edie" Hummel, 74, of Sarver passed away at 12:48 a.m. Thursday at Fair Winds Manor in Sarver.

She was born Aug. 28, 1935, in Tarentum, the daughter of the late Elmer Roy Ruediger and the late Mary S. (Fotheringham) Ruediger.

Edith was a member of Sarver Methodist Church, and she retired from Napco. She also was a member of the Penn Township VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda (Chip) Maxwell of Butler and Paula (Michael) Cushman of Streetsboro, Ohio; a son, Albert (Darlen) Hummel of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Burns of Ohio and Mary (Jay) Shumaker of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Roy "Whitey" Hummel; and a son, Keith Hummel.

<B>HUMMEL</B> — Friends of Edith Mae "Edie" Hummel, who died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Young Funeral Home Ltd.</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Curt McDaniels officiating.
