As I kept repeating over and over on here, a majority (or plurality) of Americans may oppose the health care law, but that does not tell the whole story. A significant number opposed it because many Americans felt it did not go far enough.

A new AP poll finds that Americans who think the law should have done more outnumber those who think the government should stay out of health care by 2-to-1.

75% of Americans wanted changes in the health care system.

If the media narrative holds true, even though not supported by many polls, that the Republicans will gain control of Congress and attempt to repeal the health care law, it will be the final death knell for the party. The GOP will become a permament minority party since they mistakenly believe the majority of Americans who oppose the health care law do so because they believe the government should not be involved in rectifying the mess that is our system.
