Dorothy Thompson
Dorothy Mae "Dot" Thompson, 97, of Cabot, formerly of Butler, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Monday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.
She was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Butler, the daughter of the late Andrew G. Spears and the late Eliza Susan (Miller) Spears.
Dot was a member of the Summit United Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Luncheon Club.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Alexander of Escondido, Calif.; two nieces and a nephew; and a sister-in-law, Doris Thompson of New Hampshire.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis W. Thompson, who died July 6, 1987; and four brothers.
<B>THOMPSON</B> — Friends of Dorothy Mae "Dot" Thompson, who died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Summit United Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, with the Rev. Jack Hartman, chaplain for Concordia Lutheran Ministries, officiating.
