Logan Thomas Beckwith, 7, of Cranberry Township passed away Tuesday in West Virginia.

He was born Feb. 2, 2003, in Tampa, Fla., the son of Jason Beckwith of Butler and Carla Aiken of Cranberry Township.

Logan was a special boy who loved to play video games on his X-box, football and wrestling. He enjoyed camping and bonfires with his family and most recently enjoyed a family trip to the beach where he and his sister enjoyed swimming in the ocean.

Logan attended Haine Elementary. He and his sister, Hailey, were like two peas in a pod.

Surviving are his mother, Carla Aiken and her boyfriend/father figure, Christopher Gardner; his father, Jason Beckwith of Butler; a brother, Eithan Beckwith of Cranberry Township; a sister, Jennifer Beckwith of Colorado; maternal grandmother, Deborah Stivason of Butler; maternal grandfather, Carl Aiken of Tampa; paternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Beckwith of Butler; maternal great-grandmother, Hazel Hilliard of Butler; special uncle and friend, Jim Fritch of Butler; aunt, Donna White of Butler; uncle, Lee Beckwith of Butler; and many very special cousins and great aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Hailey Weiland; his paternal grandmother, Jennifer Ann Beckwith; his great-uncle, Thomas McLaughlin; and his great-grandparents.

<B>BECKWITH —</B> Friends of Logan Thomas Beckwith, who died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, </B>127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services have been changed and will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the North Street Christian Church, 226 W. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Bob Huber, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made toward the funeral arrangements for Logan at any Citizen's Bank location to the Logan Beckwith & Hailey Weiland Memorial and at any PNC Bank to the Logan & Hailey Foundation.For more information, go to www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
