William J. Heller
William J. Heller, 69, of Butler passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 6, 1941, in Slippery Rock, the son of the late Lewis B. and Mary (Crouch) Heller.
Bill was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, the American Legion of West Sunbury and the Valley Dam Sportsman's Club.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He was a laborer for AFL-CIO Local 323.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah L. (McLaughlin) Heller, who he married, July 3, 1959; four daughters, Lu Ann (Patrick) Stillwagon, Linda (Robert) Wick, Lisa Heller and Lainey (Jason) Ryan, all of Butler; a son, William (Kim) Heller Jr. of Butler; grandchildren, Victor and Amy, Kara and Karl, Sarah and Tim, Jessica, Bob, Patrick, Kylee and Mason; great-grandchildren, Eli and Brady; five sisters, Helen Trott, Nan (Allen) Thompson, Althea (Patsy) Martino, Alma (Terry) Killian and Jane (Thurman) Gish; a brother, Paul E. Heller; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doll and Odie; a sister-in-law, Rhonda; and brothers, Butch, Robert and Dick.
<B>HELLER</B> — Friends of William J. Heller, who died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with Father Thomas Gillespie officiating.
