Ira David Nagel, 88, of Butler passed away at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Parker Personal Care Center in Parker following a lengthy illness.

Born in Allegheny County, Sept. 8, 1921, he was the son of the late Harry and Clara Stich Nagel.

A veteran of World War II, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.

Mr. Nagel was employed for many years with the former Pullman Standard Co. of Butler, from where he retired in 1980.

He is survived by his son, Joe Nagel and his wife, Christine, of Butler; and three grandchildren, Natasha Martinez and Joseph and Nathan Nagel.
