Adele E. Bitler, 26, of 501 Carbon St., Butler, formerly of Gap, Lancaster County, went to be with the Lord after she died Monday in an auto accident in Butler County.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of M. Lisabeth (Woelfle) Bitler of Gap and Richard L., married to Cathleen Bitler of West Lawn, Pa. She will be deeply missed.

She graduated from Pequea Valley High School, Kinzers, Lancaster County, in 2001 and from Slippery Rock University in 2005.

Adele had worked for the past five years as a psychological tester with Vocational and Psychological Services in Butler, and she also was a member of the therapeutic support staff.

She was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock, and she enjoyed participating in its softball league and serving as an umpire and scorekeeper. She also often sang during church services.

Adele enjoyed crocheting, music, painting and reading and her dog, Bear, and two cats, Ginger and Fiona.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her fiance, Jayson Stahlman of Butler; a brother, Joel A. Woelfle of Millersville; her paternal grandmother, Grace Bitler of Morgantown, Pa.; and two stepbrothers, Andrew and Ryan Hoover, both of West Lawn. She also is survived by several aunts and uncles as well as many cousins.

<B>BITLER</B> — A memorial service for Adele E. Bitler, who died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pequea Presbyterian Church, 273 Cambridge Road, Gap, Pa., with the Rev. Beth Engel officiating. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Beck Funeral Home</B>, 315 E.
