I wasn't going to post anything but I thought if I went through this what other Moms or Dads may have too.

I had a contempt hearing with my ex because he was not paying the required support. The hearing was in a room just like an office. The man asked some questions and then said they would give my ex a month to come up with required documentation.

That was the first problem, a month? The second problem was that I was asked what I thought on the subject so I spoke my mind. I haven't received the full amount of support in over 7 months, so I said this has to stop that the domestic relations office needs to start fighting for children and not let this go on. In fact I gave an example of a one month payment of $36. The hearing officer said that I should feel lucky that I got that !!!! Lucky? Then he explained how that is all his Mother got years ago and they lived off chicken and Mac n cheese.

I should not feel lucky that $36 is what I got for support for a month I should feel mad and disgusted. That $36 was for two boys!!!!!!!

Something really needs to change, they gave him a month to come up with documents about workers compensation claims. Well it has been almost a month since I got a payment. So why were we there? They still are letting him skate they put an attachment order out for an employer big whoop.If he doesn't go to work then they don't get the money. The say they cant make him work, really used to be that they could make them look for work and actually do something about this.

Something just really needs to change.
