So I just heard that when he said no new taxes, he also meant no taxes on Marcelles Shale. Why? It is ridiculous to think that a tax on Marcelles Shale would ship jobs overseas. The shale is here, if they want it, they have to come here and get it. Why not tax it? It is a resource that belongs to the state of PA, not to some oil company. I think the state of PA should be able to tax it, just like they do everything else. I don't understand the mentality of this country to tax everyone, except oil companies. BP and Exxon made billions off US citizens, but didn't pay one red cent of taxes to us. The whole idea is ridiculous.
