SRU men's soccer stays perfect, 1-0
Mitchell Walters scored an unassisted goal in the 72nd minute to give the Slippery Rock University men's soccer team a 1-0 victory over host West Chester in PSAC action Saturday.
The Rock (3-0-1, 2-0) limited West Chester to one shot on goal and three total shots.
Women's Soccer
West Chester (4-0, 2-2) blanked Slippery Rock 3-0 to hand the squad its first loss of the campaign.
SRU (3-1, 1-1) will play at Bloomsburg Friday and at East Stroudsburg Saturday.
Football
Blaine Miller caught a 33-yard scoring pass from Clayton Hall midway through the fourth quarter to give Grove City a 17-14 victory over host Lebanon Valley.
The score capped a six-play, 80-yard drive.
Miller finished the game with eight catches for 107 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 35 yards on 14 attempts.
Hall, who threw for two scores on connected on 17 of 26 passes for 205 yards, led the Wolverines with 72 yards on 17 carries.
Grove City (1-1 overall) will begin PAC play at Westminster.
Slippery Rock High graduate Craig Bicehouse added a 34-yard field goal and added two PATs.
