Robert E. Webster, 81, of Grove City, Pine Township, Mercer County, died at 2:25 p.m. Saturday at the Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, following an extended illness.

Born in Murrinsville, Marion Township, Butler County, Feb. 1, 1929, he was the son of James Webster and Marie J. Surrena Webster.

He married Doris M. Hilgar on March 10, 1951.

He retired on Feb. 1, 1989, from Cooper Energy Services, where he was a supervisor in the foundry for 38 years.

Mr. Webster was a Protestant.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force.

He was a member of the F&AM Lodge 603, Grove City.

He enjoyed hunting, bowling and golf, but mostly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife Doris at home; six children, Bonnie O'Neil and her husband, James, of Grove City, Barb Cook and her husband, Don, of Grove City, Robert Webster and his wife, Teri, of Grove City, Belinda Wilson and her husband, Dick, of Greenville, Beverly Pas and her husband, John, of Grove City, and Betsy Sample and her husband, Mike, of Grove City; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gary Webster and his wife, Linda, of Grove City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and James Webster, and a great-granddaughter, Ella Cook.

<B>WEBSTER</B> — Visitation hours for Robert E. Webster, who died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Willard Morse, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City, officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery, Grove City.
